HIGH SCORE🏆

Club Party Team Squad led the league this week with an impressive 145pts

BOTTOM OF THE PILE😬

It wasn't the finest week for My Kupp Runneth Empty, who was left in the dust with a lowly 88pts

BRAGGING RIGHTS💪

Club Party Team Squad blew out Time Ticklers by 32.98pts(144.93pts to 111.95pts)

BAD BEAT🤕

A touchdown could have made all the difference, as Big Dickson Energy lost to The Jellyfish Collector by an agonizing 3.65pts 😓

LUCKY BREAK🍀

The Jellyfish Collector finished 4-7 in all-play this week, but still came away with the win

NOT SO LUCKY...😡

Team Butt must have broken several mirrors this week. An all play record of 9-2 wasn't enough to get the job done, as they went down fighting to Awesome Team, great QBs (129.29pts to 136.35pts) 💔

SHARP-SHOOTER🎯

Take a bow, the griddy comittee. You led the league this week with a 99.8% accuracy score!

WAIVER WIRE GEM💎

Tip your cap to Awesome Team, great QBs. They scooped up Tyrod Taylor from the waiver wire this week, who helped them secure that all-important win!

Week 6, as predicted by the Fantasy Genius preview email, was brutal.

Yes, there were the injuries to big name guys -- CMC, Deebo, and Monty all left their games early. But beyond that, points were generally tough to come by this week. Lots of underperformance from some usual studs (Allen, Kittle, Davante) led to point totals being the lowest of 2023 so far.

The story of the 2023 fantasy season may be how well teams are able to handle adversity. Will you fold under the pressure and fire off complaints to the group chat about your injury luck? Or will you go Moneyball-mode, hunt for value on the waiver wire, make some trades, and stitch together a winning squad?

There’s sometimes a certain excitement in poor quality. When you’re dealing with an unprecedented lack of talent, it can often be as exciting to see how bad something can be as seeing how good it can be. However, that was not the case with the week’s matchup between The Fugees and My Kupp Runneth Empty, which was the fantasy football equivalent of watching your granddad watch golf. It’s unclear who was more bored, The Fugees, My Kupp Runneth Empty, or the rest of us. It doesn’t really matter, much like this game, which has made a serious bid for snoozefest of the year. Congrats to The Fugees for pulling out a win, I guess.

When two heavyweights start to slug it out, it’s best to just get out of the way and watch the magic. This week, those two heavyweights were Awesome Team, great QBs and Team Butt, who threw uppercuts and haymakers all weekend until the final bell on Monday night. Awesome Team, great QBs emerged gloriously with the win, and now has a few days to rest their muscles and joints and other connective tissue before getting right back out there next week. For Team Butt, it’s a classic case of close, but no cigar. Much like taking a drag from a vape and missing the real thing. It’s got to be difficult to put in such a valiant effort only to come out with a loss, like every other loser this week. But that’s life, unfortunately, and they’ve got to dust off their pants and give it another shot next week. Let’s hope they drop their vaping habit, it’s not good for you. If you're gonna do that, might as well just go all-in and smoke cigars like an adult.

Week 6 Stud 💪

Raheem Mostert

RB - Tommy Pham Was Right

+20 pts vs median RB

32.7 points

This week’s MVP goes to Raheem Mostert. While not our first choice (that was, and always will be, Tyrod Taylor), Raheem Mostert technically won with the pesky data, so we’re obligated, as a data company, to proclaim them the MVP. But we don’t have to like it. Unfortunately, his performance was wasted, as Dumpster Fire was too much for Raheem Mostert and Tommy Pham Was Right to overcome. It’s anyone’s guess what Tommy Pham Was Right will do with the rest of the year. Lots of murmuring around the league -- folks are saying that Raheem Mostert deserves better and that they should ship him to someone that will appreciate him and not dim his light. Raheem Mostert - know your worth.

Week 6 Dud 👎

Ryan Tannehill

QB - Tommy Pham Was Right

-13.0 pts vs median QB

1 points

We would love to give the LVP to the entire Broncos roster for making us suffer, but again, we’re sticklers for data, so we have to go with Ryan Tannehill for the disaster class he put on this week. At some point, sympathy outlives its usefulness. Tommy Pham Was Right picked him up. They started him. And they lost. We’d love to give out hugs and try to paper over terrible GM moves by talking about bad luck, but eventually, we have to look at this decision for what it was. A failure. A complete failure. How does Tommy Pham Was Right move on from here? We’re not sure. But it involves a lot of early mornings, a lot of late nights, and probably a good long look in the mirror. Are they in love with fantasy football or just in like with it?
